Children Under Thirteen
Serendipity does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website. No loan applications made by persons under 18 will be processed by Serendipity. You must be 18 years or older to use any of Serendipity’s services.
Collection of your Financial Information
Serendipity will collect personally identifiable information, such as your name. If you purchase Serendipity’s products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. Serendipity will require you to submit your Social Security Number (“SSN”) to run a credit information check prior to the approval of any loan application. Serendipity uses third-party Credit Reporting companies including Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Serendipity will require an electronic acknowledgment before sending your SSN to any Credit Reporter or any other outside financial agency.
The information contained in your credit report will remain confidential, and will be used in approving and processing your loan and in reporting successful payment or default to one of the aforementioned Credit Reporting Agencies.
Under Federal Statute 15 U.S.C. §1681b, Information from your Credit Report may also be used, if necessary, for:
“In response to the order of a court having jurisdiction to issue such an order, or a subpoena issued in connection with proceedings before a Federal grand jury; or,
“In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates.”
For all transactions conducted through Serendipity the borrower has the right under federal law 15 U.S.C. §1681 to review and contest any credit findings by Serendipity or another outside financial institution.
Serendipity may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your age, gender and household income. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Serendipity. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Serendipity website.
Serendipity encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from Serendipity so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. Serendipity is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Serendipity website.
